tdr0769_Guests coming from oversea? The number of attendance of Tokyo Disney Resort in individual region and the ratio

Tokyo Disney Resort is always crowded with many guests regardless of weekdays or weekends.

Since Tokyo Disney Resort became two park system, which is Tokyo Disneyland and Sea more guests coming to visit and the popularity never gets less.

Moreover the number of attendance increased more from 2013, which is the year Tokyo Disney Resort celebrated 30th anniversary and the 2 parks total number of attendance became more than 30 million of guests and this became a regular thing.

Anyway, such number of people coming to visit Tokyo Disney Resort, but when looking at it by individual region then how the ratio changes?

【Year】【Number of attendance】 【Guests individual region】
(Total of 2 park) Kanto Chubu,Koushinetsu Kinki Tohoku Other region in Japan Oversea

2010 25,366,000 guests 66.4% 11.9% 7.6% 3.6% 7.2% 3.3%
2011 25,347,000 guests 70.2% 11.2% 6.8% 4.1% 6.4% 1.3%
2012 27,503,000 guests 67.5% 11.1% 7.3% 4.2% 7.3% 2.6%
2013 31,298,000 guests 64.6% 11.6% 7.6% 4.0% 8.3% 3.9%
2014 31,377,000 guests 66.2% 11.0% 7.0% 3.8% 7.0% 5.0%

As expected guests from Kanto area is overwhelmingly showing huge number.

Even number of guests increase other than guests from oversea it doesn’t really change.

On the other hand, ratio of guests from oversea decreased in 2011 due to nuclear accident, but the number recovered in 2013, which is the year Tokyo Disneyland celebrated the 30th anniversary and in 2014, which is the year the number of attendance achieved more than ever the ratio of guests from oversea increased till 5%.

5% doesn’t seem big, but when calculating with number of attendance of 2014 it becomes “1,568,850 guests”, so you can see how huge that number is.

It is quite surprising that more than 1.5 million of oversea guests coming to visit Tokyo Disneyland per year.

It is exciting to see how the ratio changes from now on.
