tdr0531_Tokyo DisneySea has advantage! The very first story of Raging Spirit

“Raging Spirit” is a roller coaster attraction that opened at Lost River Delta on July 21st as a first added attraction of Tokyo DisneySea.

It is also called “mad loop coaster”, because vertical 360 degree loop was set for the first time at Tokyo Disney Resort and it is thrilling that maximum speed is 37.28mph.

Actually there are only 2 places that “Raging Spirit” exists, which is Tokyo and Paris.

How come it doesn’t exist at the home of Disney Park?

“Raging Spirit” is created based on attraction that existed in Disneyland Paris, to begin with.

That based attraction was created based on some other attraction…

The attraction that is created based on “Indiana Jones Adventure” in Anaheim Disneyland is “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril” and “Raging Spirit” is created based on that.

It is quite confusing…

Disneyland Paris wanted to take in the coaster attraction that used audio animatronics like “Indiana Jones Adventure” from the beginning.

But they had to reduce budget hugely because of funding issues, so they had to change the plan to create outdoor type coaster.

That became “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril”.

And when it became a totally different attraction which has 360 degree loop and is thrilling and appealing then Tokyo DisneySea came forward to wanting to take the “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril” too.

But at that time Tokyo DisneySea already had “Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull”.

Therefore, they had to change the title and story of “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril” to the title of “Raging Spirit” to open in public.

Although, the story and the look of this attraction is the same so, “2 Indiana Jones attractions are at Lost River Delta”.

As I have explained above “Raging Spirit” is only exists at Tokyo and Paris and “Indiana Jones Adventure” is only exists at Tokyo and Anaheim, so in a way Tokyo Disney Resort is very blessed.
